Juvenile Dainty Tree Frog

Litoria gracilenta

Location: Go Prosper, 75 Devonshire Rd, Watsonia

I’ve been lucky enough to have seen these frogs throughout my life, but only recently found out that the juveniles are this incredible golden colour. These tiny amphibians are found in tropical parts of Australia. They’re as beautiful as they are tiny, even a fully grown adult only ever grows a little more than 4cm’s long, this juvenile being less than 1cm. It’s fantastic to see an image of such a small creature, blown up so big and positioned in such a prominent location, pull into Watsonia you can’t miss it.
